National Popsicle Recall; Undisclosed Milk


Unilever United States, Inc., recalled 20-count boxes of Popsicle brand Orange, Cherry, and Grape flavored ice pops because they may have been inadvertently exposed to milk, which is not listed as an ingredient on the label. Persons who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

 

The affected product is sold in a paperboard box containing 20-1.65 FL OZ (48.7 ML) POPS. The unit UPC is 7756712130, with best before dates of JUN03-0615GBV that are printed on the side of each box. No other best before dates have been affected.

 

The product was distributed nationwide and reached consumers through retail stores. No product was shipped outside the U.S. The company has received reports of milk allergic reactions associated with this product.
