Q. How do I log in?

 

A. Members can log in from any page on the Medical Law Perspectives website: medicallawperspectives.com. In the upper right corner enter your "User Name" (your email address) and "Password." Only members with valid "User Names" and "Passwords" have the ability to log in.

Unable to Log In

 

Q. I am unable to log in, what do I do?

 

A. If you are having trouble logging in, please request your login information to make sure you are entering the information correctly by clicking on the Forgot Password link next to the password field. Enter the email address associated with your account, and we will email you the password as it appears in our database.

 

When you receive the email with your personal password, enter the password exactly as it appears in the email together with your user name in the "Member Login" fields.

Automatic Login

 

Q. How do I save my "User Name" and "Password" so that I don't have to enter them each time I access the site?

 

A. Select the "Remember Me" check box on the "Subscriber Login" box at the upper right hand corner of the page. You will be automatically signed in each time you visit Medical Law Perspectives until you change your "Password" or delete Medical Law Perspectives cookies from your browser.

Automatic Login not Working

 

Q. I am a Medical Law Perspectives member. Why am I being prompted to log in if I've already saved my password?

 

A. If you have saved your login information to Medical Law Perspectives by using our "Remember Me" feature, and you're being asked to log in again, you may have cleared your browser's cookies. Try to log in again, and be sure to reset the automatic feature by checking the "Remember Me" box.

Site License Problems

 

Q. I'm attempting to register as a user under my company's site license. Since I'm a previous user, when I attempt to login and create a password, I'm being prompted to login under a different email. How do I proceed so that my "User Name" is recognized?

Q. When I try to access the monthly law report, I keep receiving a “Membership has expired” message even though I know my company’s site license is current.

 

A: You may be receiving this message if your company previously had IP access and switched to log in access but the IP access connection was not deactivated.

Problems with the Website

 

Q. How do I clear my browser cache?

 

A. Sometimes problems with the Medical Law Perspectives website can be fixed by clearing your browser cache. Below are cache-clearing instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.

 

Chrome

  1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac).
  3. Select the Under the Hood tab.
  4. Click the Clear Browsing Data button under the Privacy header.
  5. Select "Empty the Cache" and "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data".
  6. Click Clear Browsing Data and quit your browser.
  7. Reopen your browser. 

Firefox: Mac

  1. In the Firefox Menu Bar select the Tools tab.
  2. Select Clear Recent History.
  3. Select the Cookies and Cache boxes are checked.
  4. Click OK and quit your browser.
  5. Reopen your browser.

Firefox: Windows

  1. In the Firefox Menu Bar select the Firefox tab.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Network tab.
  5. Under the Offline Storage header click Clear Now.
  6. Click OK to close the Options panel. 

Internet Explorer

  1. In the Command Bar, select the Safety tab.
  2. Select Delete Browsing History.
  3. 3. Select Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.
  4. Click Delete and quit your browser.
  5. Reopen your browser.

Q. I'm experiencing problems with pages loading on my computer, is there anything I can do?

 

A. If you are experiencing problems with loading pages on the site, here are some steps you can take to address the issue:

  1. Press the Refresh/Reload button on your browser.
  2. If refreshing the page does not help, quit your browser and reopen it.
  3. If you are still experiencing difficulties, you may want to clear your cache and delete your cookies (See: “How do I clear the cache on my computer”) and add Medical Law Perspectives to trusted sites.
